Through Joint Commission accreditation and certification, 经典三级鈥檚 more than 100 branches of home health and hospice locations across 17 states will help demonstrate their commitment to patient safety and quality improvement.
The Joint Commission, the nation鈥檚 oldest and largest healthcare accreditor, surveys healthcare organizations for compliance with its performance standards during a rigorous, unannounced onsite visit. During the visit, a team of Joint Commission surveyors will evaluate 经典三级鈥檚 compliance with home care and hospice standards spanning several areas including environment of care, equipment management, infection prevention and control, medication management, and more.
Joint Commission standards are developed in consultation with healthcare experts and providers, measurement experts, and patients. They are informed by scientific literature and expert consensus to help healthcare organizations measure, assess, and improve performance. During the visit, surveyors also conduct onsite observations and interviews.

Additionally, The Joint Commission鈥檚 Community-Based Palliative Care Certification program is available to organizations that provide home health or hospice services.
